Illinois State Disbursement Unit

Dear Parents,

Beginning October 1, 2026 the State Disbursement Unit (SDU) will be performing system upgrades to align with Illinois Child Support Servicesâ new case management system. We are writing to let you know about important changes to your child support payment distribution. Please note that payment disbursement dates will be affected during the system upgrade. As we do these system updates, we may have limited access to your case information and expect delays in payments. It is important to let you know about these delays so you may plan accordingly.

Payment Disbursement Timeline

To help you plan, here is the payment schedule when the system is temporarily unavailable:

Payments received October 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be disbursed on October 5.
Payments received October 5 will be disbursed on October 6.
Beginning October 6, all payments will be disbursed the day after they are received.

Note: Please check your payment method for exact timing.

Once the new case management system is implemented, payments will be disbursed the business day after they are received. In order to continue to provide you with updates in the future, it is important that your contact information is updated. Please notify the SDU of any changes in your contact information, such as email address, mailing address, and phone numbers.
